In this walkthrough we're going to show you how to use Apteligent by VMware. Using Apteligent, customers can measure the user experience of their mobile apps and fix performance issues in real-time to optimize engagement, adoption and revenue.

The Apteligent platform enables both mobile app developers and IT organizations to analyze mobile application performance in real time, enabling them to understand user behavior to address the issues that matter the most—and directly impact business and revenue.
Apteligent removes barriers between developers and end users by providing converged visibility and contextual analytics. These powerful insights help development teams prioritize issues and address app performance challenges faster, improving application uptime and user experience, reducing churn rate and facilitating better collaboration. Apteligent supports all major mobile operating system (OS) platforms, including iOS, Android, Windows Phone 10, Hybrid and HTML5 apps.
Logging in to Apteligent
To get started, we will navigate to the TestDrive Workspace ONE instance. You can navigate there using 1 of 2 methods: navigate directly to the URL or click the link from the TestDrive portal.
To Navigate to the Workspace ONE instance directly, open your favorite web browser and go to:
Sign in with your TestDrive username and password.
Alternatively, you can navigate to the TestDrive portal at portal.vmtestdrive.com, login with your TestDrive account and click "Launch" next to Workspace ONE. If you're unsure what username to enter you can click the down arrow next to Workspace ONE for your user details.
Once you're logged into Workspace ONE, you can find Apteligent in the app list. You can bookmark Apteligent and click the open into button to launch it.
Next, you'll be SSO'd into Apteligent landing on the Account Management section.
First, navigate to the My Apps dashboard using the dropdown at the top of the screen. Choose "Apteligent Public Demo".
The My Apps dashboard gives a quick overview of the main key performance indicators for your most important mobile apps. Here you also have access to Account management, User Settings, App Registration, and Integrations.
My Apps: Features
To view expanded details for an app in the App Overview, use the "Jump to" dropdown menu, or click on the app name directly. Along with the main key performance indicators from the dashboard, here we are also presented with visual representations of our User Engagement, Failing User Flows, and Crash Rate Benchmark Comparison.
Scrolling down, we also are presented with Live Stats, which displays graphs of the App Loads, Crashes, and Handled Exceptions, all updated in real time.
To view complete details, click on any of the metric headings. Clicking on "MAU" (Monthly Active Users), "DAU" (Daily Active Users) or "App Loads", for example, all lead us to the same page. Here we see a more detailed visualization of these trends and more. This works from both the My Apps Dashboard as well as the App Overview page. This specific page can also be found by clicking "Crash Trends" in the sidebar under Trend Analysis.
We can also hover over any of the graphs with our cursor to view discrete values in the data set. The position can be adjusted left or right to highlight a specific point in time. Also, certain sets of graphs are connected, so the same point in time will be highlighted on all related graphs for easy comparison. Note that all graphs created by Apteligent are interactive in this way.
Navigating back to the App Overview or the My Apps dashboard, let's click on the Crash Rate metric heading. This can also be found by clicking "Crashes" on the sidebar.
Now let's check out the metric heading HTTP Error Rate, which can also be found by clicking "Network Insights" on the sidebar.
The last metric heading on the My Apps dashboard is User Flow Failure Rate, which can also be accessed by clicking "User Flows" in the sidebar.
Let's navigate back to the My Apps dashboard, and open up the User Settings. You can get here by clicking "My Apps" in the top and then selecting "User Settings" from the left menu bar.
User Settings is where you can find and make changes to user information, the user password, alert settings, and more.
In the User Information tab, you can enter or edit details of a user, and view a list of accounts they have rights to. The email used here is the one the user will need in order to login to Apteligent.
The Alert Settings tab allows you to set up and manage alerts. You can input or adjust settings to the email or SMS alerts for your apps.
OAuth Tokens are required to use Apteligent integrations and API. These settings include Name, Password, and Expiration Time (up to a year).
The Landing Page tab allows users to select which feature page is shown when they first click into one of their apps. The default is App Overview, but it can be adjusted to Crash Summary or Service Monitoring.
The Full Screen view, available from the My Apps dashboard and the App Overview Page, clears away most of the menus and gives an uncluttered big-picture view of the dashboard. This is suitable for a Management or Developer overview, and is often placed on a second screen or dedicated monitoring computer. In these cases, you may wish to enable the "Keep session active" option, which disables the automatic timeout.
My Apps: Other Commands
From the My Apps dashboard, you also have access to Account Management, App Registrations, and Integrations.
Register New App Enter an app name to begin registration. Choose the Platform (iOS, Android), and whether the app is Employee Facing or not (Public Facing). If you are a new user (you've never registered an app and have no apps in the account), you will be taken through a step-by-step Onboarding Flow.
Integrations Organizations leverage the powerful REST API and pre-built integrations of Apteligent to connect across critical Enterprise IT infrastructure. From marketing to IT Ops, Apteligent APIs bring granular mobile insights to ensure your mobile solutions are functioning at peak performance.
Account Management Here you can manage all apps, users and team invites.
In the App Management tab, you can view and manage the different accounts and apps you own, or have been invited to as a member. Each folder represents a different account, and each account displays the apps that are associated with that particular account.
The User Management tab is where you view and manage the members of an application, and invite members (both with or without an Apteligent login account) to the desired app(s).
The Invites tab is where you view and manage existing user invites to apps. New users can also be invited from this tab, whether they have an Apteligent login account or not.
