  • Network access from your device and TCP ports 80, 443, 4172, 8443 and UDP ports 443, 4172, 8443 enabled
  • An appropriate HTML 5 web browser, Google Chrome is preferred

First, navigate to the TestDrive portal at portal.vmtestdrive.com. Ensure you are logged in with your TestDrive account. From the Portal homepage, navigate to the VMware Horizon product tile and click Launch on the right.

Launch the Horizon HTML Access Portal

Under the Web Access section, click on America Region - Standard and vGPU Demo.

Enter TestDrive Credentials

At the login screen, enter your TestDrive credentials (visible to you when you expand the Horizon product tile in the TestDrive Portal) and ensure that the domain is correctly selected as VMWDP. Once you have entered your username and password, click Login.

Launch Firefox

Once logged in you will see your Horizon VDI desktops and published apps available to launch.

Let's begin by launching RDS-Firefox.

Firefox Launched

After a few moments, Firefox will load and we can interact with the app.

Once you're done, click on the sidebar tab to open up the HTML access UI.

Here we can see the sidebar and the running apps (Firefox at the moment).

Launch Another App

Now finally let's bring up the sidebar again and launch RDS-Word.

Word Launched

Once Word has launched, you can play around in the app and then switch between your running Horizon resources, all in your Chrome browser tab.

Log Out of Running Apps

When you're done, you can select the sidebar one last time and logout of your running apps.
